Tuxedos and wedding suits in Seoul

A wedding is the one day a suit is photographed from every angle and kept in an album for fifty years. If you are marrying in Korea, or flying in for a wedding, here is how to have one made properly in the time you have.

Tuxedo or suit?

Grooms in Korea wear everything from a classic suit to a full tuxedo, and the choice is usually yours. A practical guide:

  • Evening reception, or you want it to feel like an event: a dinner suit (tuxedo) in midnight navy or black, peak or shawl lapel.
  • Daytime ceremony: a three-piece in navy, charcoal or a lighter grey. You will wear it again, which a tuxedo rarely gets.
  • Fathers and best men: a well-cut charcoal or navy suit, coordinated with the groom but not matched to him.

Groom and family together

Grooms often come with a father, a brother or the best man. One consultation can cover several people, and we can coordinate cloth and details so the photographs look considered without looking like uniforms. Tell us how many people when you book.

What it costs

Made-to-measure from USD 700, full bespoke from USD 1,200, in 100% wool; the cloth moves the price most. Extra trousers or a waistcoat cost extra and we quote them up front. See the Seoul price guide for how this compares across the city.

After the wedding

Alterations on clothes we made are free for a year. If you live abroad, we ship the finished suit Anything that needs a touch can be done when you are next in Seoul.
